The Problem

There is a wealth of environmental monitoring data available across Europe, however, it is collected to different standards and distributed in diverse ways by many different organisations in different languages and formats through a variety of mechanisms. The effort and time to collect, collate and harmonise these data to undertake a simple assessment of the state-of-the-environment across the EU is excessive. ​​

Yet, EU regulations like that for Plant Protection Products (1107/2009/EC) requires an assessment of these data for regulatory submissions.

The Solution

EnviroDataMonitor

EnviroDataMonitor (EDM) is a regulatory compliance data collection and curation service that proactively collects and harmonises readily available environmental monitoring data from across Europe. This service makes these data more accessible to a wide range of stakeholders. In particular, it enables chemical companies to not only meet key regulatory compliance requirements but ensure the environmental safety of their products. â€‹ 

The Scope of EDM

  • Spatial coverage: 27 EU member states + 3EEA countries + UK + Switzerland
  • Temporal coverage: 1995/2000 to last month
